In summer 2022, Wakefield District held its first co-production conference. More than 100 people from across the district attended, representing individuals, the voluntary and community sector, community groups, the local authority, health and social care.
Nineteen speakers shared powerful examples of just some of the work that is happening in our district and the difference it has made for individuals and groups.
The event included celebration, creativity, connectivity and delegates made pledges to support the coproduction approach in Wakefield. There was a clear desire to further develop co-production in Wakefield district through working with people, service collaboration, creating shared principles, sharing resources and increased connectivity.
