Experience of Care Week: Wakefield District Health and Care Partnership staff’s commitment
Wakefield District Health and Care Partnership (WDHCP) is supporting Experience of Care Week (24-28 April) – with staff pledging to play their part.
The week-long initiative celebrates the work that is happening across the health and social care system to keep improving experiences of care for patients, families, carers and staff.
In Wakefield District, there is a dedicated Experience of Care Network in place, which brings together colleagues with a passion to improve outcomes and be at the forefront of innovation.
It is made up of different partners, including providers, colleagues from Wakefield Council, public health, Healthwatch Wakefield and the local voluntary sector.
The network plays a key role in making sure that the voice of the district’s communities influences the work of the Partnership and creates positive change.
It aims to do so by sharing feedback, insight and intelligence among partners and building on combined expertise, skills and resources.
To coincide with Experience of Care Week, staff in a range of different roles across the Partnership have made their own personal commitment.
They have done so with a series of pledges on what they will do to improve people’s experience of care.
